Nice, I started http://github.com/skyl/pinax-geo_basic too, if anyone wants to throw in on that. I'm also available to help with tutorial bits. I brain-dump frequently on the skyl.org log,

guys, thanks for your feedback! I will be glad to commit the whole tutorial (code + reST posts) initially into my svn repo. But maybe github would be even better to promote this kind of interaction, given you are willing to help me :D I would be very happy if the material i put togheter with your help could be the starting for the official tutorial.
@jeffrey: it's nice to see real case with GeoDjango, a magnificient framework for web GIS

Thanks for doing this! I'm also willing to help out with this set of tutorials if you like. Our group has deployed a GeoDjango+Pinax app for burning man (see provided URL).

I am looking forward to reading the blog posts. Of course, we are looking to eventually write-up an official tutorial. I agree with Dougal that you should create a new repo (preferably Git) in addition to your blog posts. I'd be willing to collaborate and help with the overall design / structure of the tutorial that ends up in Pinax. Your material here can possibly be a great starting point.

Nice write up. I look forward to seeing some of the future tutorials.

It's something I think is a bit of a hurdle for those new to Pinax, if your familiar with the Django world its not too big a jump but for others it must be a bit daunting at first.

It might be nice to put these tutorials after you've written them in github or the likes so the general mass of people can keep them up-to-date as future versions come out.
